Here’s a quick tutorial on how to make rounded edges, or indeed any shape, for your photographs using photoshop. First select the Shape tool. In the drop down you can select whatever shape you like. You can also select it from the top tool bar once the shape tool is selected. The Radius will determine how big or small your edges will be.

Make your shape over the top of the picture. The newer versions of photoshop will automatically create a new layer but if you’re using an older version make a new layer before you draw your shape.
You will need to make sure your picture is not a background layer to be able to change the order and have it above the shape. You can do this by double clicking on the layer. It will then ask you to name it or you could just leave it as Layer 0 which I have done. Then swap the layers so that your picture layer is above the shape one.

You will need to make your picture layer only visable inside your shape which you can do by right clicking on the picture layer and scrolling down to ‘Create Clipping Mask’

Flatten your layers and save.

Thank you so much for your tips… they’re great!!!
